LIMITED WARRANTY FOR MDF INTERIOR DOORS
Canadian Use Only

WORLDDOORS are manufactured with a factory primer. All non-primed doors (must be requested) are excluded from warranty.

WORLDDOORS are warranted for one year from date of shipment to be free from defects which cause them to be unfit for the use in which they are intended if the following conditions are kept.

STORAGE AND HANDLING:
1. Building site delivery must be after plaster, drywall and/or cement are dry.
2. Store doors on a flat level surface in a clean, dry, well-ventilated building. Do NOT lean against walls.
3. Protect doors from the elements, and dirt, water or abuse, but allow air circulation.
4. Take care to protect the routered grooves, French door designs and slab face patterns.
5. Mortise for hinges must be machined to commonly accepted standards. (Pre-drill all screw holes and do not use chisels)

WARPING:

1. Warp will not be considered a defect unless it exceeds ¼ “. The suspected warp is measured by placing a straight edge on the concave face of the door. Calculation of the warp is made at the point of maximum distance between the straight edge and the face of the door.

FINISHING:
Note: There is no guarantee on the appearance of the field finished doors.

1. Before finishing clean and dry doors. Remove handling handling marks or effects of exposure by sanding lightly and cleaning before application of finish. Sand and clean between coats.
2. To help prevent from warping, twisting or checking; apply at least two coats of a good grade oil, lacquer or plastic based paint on all six faces of the door.
3. If a door is going to be exposed directly to sunlight, avoid dark colored paints. This will help to minimize warpage.

For doors found defective after inspection by an authorized WORLDDOORS representative, they will on their discretion

Repair the door without charge
Replace the door
Refund the purchase price received

If a defect is found within the above stated one year, then written notice of any claim under this guarantee must be received by WORLDDOORS. If a defect is found upon receipt of shipment from WORLDDOORS notice must be given within 30 days thereafter and before the door is hung in any manner.

If the above-mentioned conditions have not been met, WORLDDOORS cannot be liable for any doors repaired/replaced without prior written consent.

We assume no responsibility for re-hanging, repainting, or refinishing the doors. WORLDDOORS is not responsible for transportation, shipping, removal, loss of use, or installation charges incurred in replacing a product.

MATTERS EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY

1. Unsatisfactory service or appearance caused by failure to follow warranty instructions or the Installation Instructions is not covered by this warranty.
2. The guarantee against warp does not apply to the following:
   Doors that are improperly hung or do not swing freely.
   Doors that are wider than 3/0 or higher than 7/0.
   Any door that has been structurally altered in a way that leaves the door unbalanced.
3. This guarantee does not cover doors with:
   Cutouts for lites and/or louvers, which are nearer than 5” to any edge of the door.
   Cutouts areas exceeding 50% of the area of the face of the door.
   Cutouts exceeding one-half the height of the door.
4. Damage Caused by normal wear and tear, weathering, customer abuse and alteration and neglect.
